The Connections in Mind Foundation (CiMF) is an independent charity with it’s own governance structure and its own charitable objectives. It operates in the same field and with an overlapping the goal of the Connections in Mind group, namely a dedication to supporting children, young people and adults to develop their executive function (EFs) skills.
The Foundation was launched in 2018 to work alongside schools, to raise awareness of EFs and to provide parenting and coaching support to families who face multiple disadvantages and low income backgrounds. The Foundation was started with the support of Connections in Mind Ltd however operates independently. Connections in Mind Ltd gives 10% of its profits to CiMF and support the Foundation by offering expertise and sharing resources.
All donations made to the Connections in Mind Foundation are used solely to further the work and charitable objectives of the Foundation.
Connections in Mind Ltd was founded in 2016 by three professionals with backgrounds in psychology and education because of a shared belief that many children do not reach their potential because they struggle with executive function skills. Connections in Mind helps those with weak EFs to master these skills by using an evidence based coaching model, The Code uses the latest research into how the brain learns to provide a creative approach to learning that makes academic work easier to digest and Connected Minds Parenting supports parents seeing raising children though an EF lens.
The Connections in Mind Foundation is independent from Connections in Mind Ltd and its subsidiary companies (Executive Function Coaching UK, Connected Minds Parenting Ltd and The Code). Some of the staff who work with Connections in Mind Ltd either carry out work for The Connections in Mind Foundation or are trustees for the Connections in Mind Foundation.
